PROVIDE SCIENCE-BASED RECOMMENDATIONS

For the protection and management of seagrass meadows.

Evaluate how seagrass restoration can lead to sustainable coastal management, to inform evidence-based decision making.

Aim

To evaluate all the Specific Project Objectives and how the ecosystem-based restoration measures have performed at each study site to provide regulative, provisioning and cultural ecosystem services and determine what information decision makes require for seagrass conservation and sustainable development.

Methods

Using the “benefit relevant indicators” BRI method, to explore various policy-relevant alternatives for ecosystem-based erosion measures through an interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder workshop which will use participatory methods including traditional breakout groups and plenary.

Output

A decision-making visualization method is developed and a set of “best practices” and recommendations for ecosystem-based protection and management.
