STUDY SEAGRASS MEADOWS POTENTIAL
Investigate the carbon sequestration potential of impacted and unimpacted seagrass meadows to demonstrate this ecosystem service.
Aim
Understanding the carbon sequestration potential of impacted and unimpacted seagrass meadows and its link to climate regulation to establish communication, management and protection strategies for these resources with stakeholders.
Methods
Three sites will be sampled at unimpacted and impacted sites. Five cores at five different depth levels will be collected from each site.
Output
Evaluation report of the carbon sequestration potential of studied sites and recommendations for stakeholder management strategies.
