INVENTORY, LOCATE AND CHARACTERIZE
Inventory selected seagrass meadows, improve knowledge of their status and biodiversity in Mauritius.
Aim
Identify seagrass areas and ground truth selected sites to carry out work.
Methods
Baseline surveys including health, impacts and threats will be completed using underwater visual census techniques (UVC) along with water quality analysis.
Output
A physical inventory and GIS maps of seagrass meadows at selected sites along the coast of Mauritius.
